Rooting Since the beginning of this Jewish year 5782, much of my practice has been grounded in an exploration of time and rest. The work has materialized with the help of trees and organic matter, and in the form of braids, and the ritual objects that metaphorically contain the work. For me, the braiding is an attempt to repair balance and strengthen the ecosystems I tend, as well as to connect with my ancestral lines and consider how our work here and now can be a throughway between worlds of the past and those of the future. My intention is that my rituals of repair might heal the traumas that disconnected me from the knowledge and wisdom virtues of the ancients. And that in turn I can recognize and evolve these traditions in order to help design a future where humans re-member our connection to source, as one with/of nature and Earth.
